Malay joined our Scholarship program in February 2022. She is from Prey Domrey village and already completed one year at the National University of Battambang. She studies English Literature and is very enthusiastic about it. Born on 15 January 2001, she is the youngest of 6 children. Her parents are rice farmers. Four of her older siblings are farmers as well - none of them had the opportunity to pursue a higher education. Malay is very determined to graduate from college. She writes: “If I graduate from college. I will become a resource for my society, country and my family. My family can move away from poverty.” Malay’s goal is to become a teacher. She would love to study abroad.
