Noy joined our scholarship program in February 2022 after she graduated from Sangke High School. She was born 5 December 2003 and is the third child of four. Her parents divorced when she was 6, leaving her mom to raise the four children on her own. None of her three siblings received schooling beyond grade 7. Their dire financial situation forced them to find work at a young age. But all of them support Noy in her pursuit of higher education. “My family was determined to do anything for me to finish high school so I would have a better education and earn a Bachelor's degree.” Noy is an excellent student, receiving a B on the National High School Exam, qualifying her for a full tuition scholarship at the National University of Battambang with a major in accounting. She wants to work as an accountant, but eventually become a teacher to help poor children reach their potential.
