Ponthea came to the Scholarship program in February 2023. She is from Kaun Khlong Village and graduated from Sangke High School in 2022. She also attended the CVF English language program. Ponthea was born 5 May 2004. She has two brothers and one sister. Her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker.

Ponthea is studying Agriculture at the National University of Battambang. She wants to share the knowledge she gains at university with her community. Her career goal is to be a teacher and to have her own business. She also wants to help her younger sister go to college and to support her family.
