Sonita, born 9 May 2006, joined our Scholarship program in February 2023. She graduated from Sangke High School in 2022 at age 16. Sonita was raised by a single mom. Her younger sister is in high school and her brother is a monk. She attended English classes and likes to practice her language skills with her sister. In her free time Sonita reads books and helps around the house. Sonita’s goal is to be a teacher. She says, “I want to have a better life. I want to support my mom, because I know how hard she works.” Sonita studies Accounting at Build Bright University.
