Srey Oun became a Scholarship student in November 2014, when she was in grade 8. Born on 2 May 2000, she graduated from Somdach Ov High School in 2019. She began her first year at the University of Battambang, with a major in Accounting, but dropped out when Covid-19 closed the school.  She went to work for a garment company in Phnom Penh. Srey Oun has 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Her parents are poor rice farmers (with only 1 hectare of land).
