Afterschool Programs: Building Skills for the Future
We served approximately 450 rural students through afterschool programs, delivering over 3,700 hours of English and Science classes.
English Language Program
- 345–450 students served throughout the year (Grades 3–12)
- 77% of students passed final exams
- 6 Cambodian teachers lead 12 classes weekly
- 55 hours of teacher training
- Students pay just $10 per year for textbooks, electricity, and a security guard
A U.S. Fulbright researcher supported CVF after school program enhancement, curriculum development, and teacher training, leaving sustainable teaching methods and lesson plans that are used year-round.

Science Program
- 95 students enrolled (Grades 3-6)
- Expanded from one to two trained teachers in 2025
- Fully funded by a dedicated donor
- Now operating independently using structured lesson plans and materials
A volunteer from the US helped to develop and sustain the Science Program, living on-site in Cambodia for over a month.

Public School Construction: Investing in Learning Environments
CVF supported schools served around 2500 students in 2025. We supported five rural schools through facility upgrades and essential resources, including:
- Classroom equipment, books, and kindergarten furnishings
- Dental hygiene education and supplies to address community need
- Drainage and land improvements to keep schools safe and accessible
- Completion of construction payments for a new school building
Your donation invests in generations of education, ensuring children learn in environments that are designed, improved, and maintained for success.

Cambodia-Thailand Conflict: Responding to Urgent Community Needs
During regional instability along the Cambodia-Thailand border, CVF provided humanitarian aid to displaced families, delivering food and essential supplies when they were needed most.

Volunteer Program: Building Local Capacity
- On-site volunteers supported education, renewable energy, and student wellness
- Volunteer housing (completed in late 2024) is now used daily by teachers and residential volunteers
- Volunteers helped launch the Science Program and enrich English Language Program and scholarship activities
We are now actively growing our volunteer program, searching for motivated individuals who are interested in an enriching, immersive experience in rural Cambodia.

Partnerships: Strengthening Higher Education at SBUBB
CVF provided targeted support to SBUBB, a public university led by board member Venerable Vy Sovechea. We funded solar energy and bicycles for SBUBB students.
We remember our roots almost 20 years ago: from then purchasing bicycles for village children who weren’t able to travel to school, to now providing bicycles and clean energy at the higher education level, your support has allowed CVF to grow with changing needs and infrastructure developments.

Financial Stewardship: Using Your Donation Responsibly
CVF remains deeply committed to directing resources where they matter most.
- Total Funds Raised in 2025: $297,822
- Total Expenses: $94,437
- 95.6% of expenses went directly to programs
We are committed to maximizing impact while investing in local capacity in order to sustain this work for years to come. Every gift, large or small, directly benefits our programs.

Leadership Growth: Strengthening Support for Our Mission

Your Support Matters
The young people we serve have hope, talent, and a determination to build brighter futures for themselves and their families. They will become teachers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and parents who strengthen their communities and pass opportunity on to the next generation.
As we approach 20 years of service in Cambodia, we remain profoundly grateful for the donors, partners, and friends who make this work possible.
Your support does much more than fund programs. It opens doors that were once closed and creates possibilities that simply did not exist before.
We invite you to continue this journey with us to empower individuals and communities to thrive, break the cycle of poverty, and contribute to the sustainable development of Cambodia.
