Born 7-August 2005 in Prey Touch Village, Neangkun joined our scholarship program in January 2024, after graduating from Sangke High School. Neangkun has an older brother and an older sister. Her sister is studying at university. Her father is a rice trader who travels and is home only once a month. Her mother is a vendor.

Neangkun said that “a college education will improve my career prospects, develop my communication skills, and allow me to be independent.” She hopes to be a role model for the next generation.

Neangkun studied English since Primary school and speaks excellent English

She attends Build Bright University with a major in accounting. After she graduates she wants to work for a bank and also be a financial advisor.

Neangkun placed 3rd in a public speaking competition in Battambang. You can see her speech below.
