Sothin joined the CVF scholarship program in 2024 when she was 19 years old and a 2nd-year student at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. She was born on 07 June 2005 in Pream Nil Village and graduated from Moung Russei High School in 2023. She has 2 younger sisters. Sothin’s father is a farmer and her mother is a housewife.They were able to help Sothin with college costs in her first year, but her sister graduated from high school and wanted to go to university. Her parents couldn’t afford to pay for both girls, so Sothin applied for a scholarship so her sister could join her in Phnom Penh and attend university. Sothin is studying Information Technology and wants to be a web developer.
