Multiply Your Impact -September Matching Fundraiser

War. Genocide. Poverty. The people of Cambodia have endured decades of hardship yet continue to move forward with an unbreakable spirit of resilience and hope. Education is the key to building a brighter tomorrow. Help us support educational opportunities for children and youth. Invest in Cambodia’s future.

Sonita studies IT. Her ambitious goal is to develop an App. Her parents survived war and the Khmer Rouge regime. The family of five depends on rice farming – earning 3 to 10 dollars a day.

Your support opens the door to life-changing educational opportunities. All month long, every donation to the Cambodian Village Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar, instantly doubling your impact.

And this year, your gift goes even further. Thanks to an anonymous matching donor any amount you give above last year’s donation will be doubly matched. This donor hopes that the extra match will inspire even greater generosity this year. The double match will cover up to $10,000 in donations.

Example: If you gave $100 last September, your entire donation was matched dollar for dollar = $200. If you donate $150 this September ($50 more than last year) your entire $150 is doubled = $300, and the extra $50 above what you gave last year is doubled once more, turning your $150 into $350.

Every dollar from a new donor will be tripled this month. And, if you didn’t donate last year, your gift will also be tripled.

We’re actively growing our donor base, so help us spread the word. Share this opportunity with friends and family, so their donations can have triple the impact!

Every gift, large or small, changes lives. 98% of your donation goes directly to our programs, so you can be sure your generosity makes a real difference.

  • $100 delivers a month of hands-on science learning.
  • $450 keeps the dorm running for a month, covering gas, water, electricity, internet, cleaning supplies, and the house manager’s salary.
  • $630 provides a full month of English language classes for over 400 students.
  • $1,800 supports a college student’s scholarship for an entire year.
  • $7,200 supports a 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
  • $60,000 builds a brand-new school building

Scholarships — 25 young women currently rely on this program to cover college tuition, books and a laptop, medical and dental care, and free housing in our dormitory. A college education uplifts a student’s whole family, breaking the cycle of poverty.

English Language Program —  Over 400 students in grades 3–12 attend our after-school English classes. Zion Dyson, granddaughter of the founders, completed a 10-month Fulbright project to strengthen this program and will return to Cambodia to continue this important work. English fluency improves job opportunities.

Science and Computer Lab — Last year, we asked for your support  to build a computer lab. Thanks to your generosity, that dream is now a reality! The new lab opened at the Bill and Nancy Kaun Khlong Primary School in January. Our primary school science program meets in the lab five days per week. STEM education prepares students for better jobs.

“Thank you for all the ways you have supported my education and future. Without your support over the past four years, I would not have been able to graduate and improve the living conditions for my family. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities you have helped make possible.” -Set Noy

Nineteen years ago, we founded the Cambodian Village Fund with a simple idea: if we could help just one person, it would be worth it. What started as a small charity has grown into a life-changing mission, bringing hope to countless people.

We’ve seen a new school building transform a village and a college education break the cycle of poverty in a single generation. These incredible changes have not only impacted the lives of Cambodians but have also changed us, filling us with a passion for serving others and a deep sense of joy.

With deepest gratitude,
Bill and Nancy Bamberger
